In spite of the wild flowers on the foreground, this photo is about light, Mayur. I like the way you captured it: the above-mentioned foreground and the vignetting effect create depth and make the bright meadow pop out particularly well. The fact that the meadow is blurred, gives your picture a dreamy, almost impressionist touch.

L'ombre est primordiale ici, Christine. Non seulement, elle met en valeur la tombe dans son environnement quasi monochrome (différentes intensités d'ocre), mais de plus, elle évoque en quelque sorte l'âme de celui ou celle qui gît sous cette pierre.

I like the cold and subdued mood of your picture.
Strong composition, with the placement of the trees providing depth in spite of the mist. The different grey tones are well rendered and their varying intensity also contributes to that depth.
The minimalism could even be stronger if you had choosen a less impressive frame (a white one, for example) or if you had put no frame at all.

Expressief bijzonder geslaagd, Jan. Je hebt ze op een uitgelezen moment op de gevoelige plaat weten vast te leggen. Zeer origineel thema voor TrekLens inderdaad.
Mooie compositie en gepaste zwartwitbewerking, die uitstraling geeft aan dit professorenduo.
Wel had ik de professor links graag scherper gezien. Heb je scherp gesteld op de andere professor of bewoog prof. van der Heijden op het moment van de opname? Dat, in combinatie met (wellicht) weinig beschikbaar licht, kan een en ander verklaren. Toegegeven: die toch wel zichtbare onscherpte verleent de foto wel een soort van "vintage-gevoel".

Excellent condensé de ce que représente, pour moi, la Suisse: lacs, montagnes lointaines, vignobles, petits villages bien agencés et, last but not least, des trains on ne peut plus ponctuels! ;o)
Photo carte postale en quelque sorte, mais nettement moins stéréotypée que la moyenne, du fait de la présence marquée (mais harmonieuse) des infrastructures routière et ferroviaire.

Les silhouettes des arbres sont les éléments-clés de ta photo, Michel. Elles attirent le regard et donnent de la profondeur à ton image pourtant brumeuse. En outre, leurs formes irrégulières renforcent l'ambiance mystérieuse que dégage le brouillard.
Le halo bleuâtre qui inonde ta photo, nous fait réellement sentir le froid...
Belle composition dans laquelle tous les élements de ce paysage "ordinaire" (dans le sens de "daily life") sont bien mis en valeur.

België zoals België is!
Perfecte timing. Daar moet je "oog" voor hebben. Misschien had ik de persoon op de voorgrond liever iets scherper gezien (dan leek het nog meer op een schilderij "à la Delvaux"), maar dat zijn nu eenmaal de omstandigheden.
Zwaar ondergewaardeerd werk, maar o zo lief van jou dat je TrekLens ermee wou opwaarderen ;o).
