Well seen Ralph, the strong shadow adds to the composition.
Personally, I would crop some of the top, just to focus more on the cross.
I is remakabley well prserved after 71 years ;)

We haven't seen any sun yet today...
Pete.

Lovely scene Janice; nice composition with the people and the rubber ducky boats in the foreground.
What a shame you missed the fabulous weather at home...bl**dy cold, bl**dy wet, and bl**dy windy.
Pete.
PS, nice yo see a Kiwi prescence on TL again.
PPS, you're getting a bit cheeky in your ol.......

I like the mood of this one Ralph, the sky adds to the sorry state of the old homestead.
I see they must have owned pets...notice the cat door ;)
Pete.

Hi Tracey, nice to see you, and Danni back.
What a sharp, and well exposed macro.
For me, what is quite remarkable, is that you got a front view.
All I have managed is 'bum' views, or the head buried in the flower.
Well done,
Pete.

Hi Danni,
It's good to see you back again.
You have done fine job with this rose bud, stunning detal, and very good lighting control.
You should be very proud of this.
Pete.

Hi Hans,
I saw this th night you posted it...and thought 'I wish I had been there', it is a wonderful moment captured, well seen, and well composed. I love it.
Unfortunately, I had too much difficulty with my eye, I couldn't comment then.
Kia ora,
Pete.

Hi Werner, congrats for your first year on TL. I hope you are still enjoying the ride.
This is a colourful, and interesting image for your anniversary.
Thank you for your kind wishes.
Pete.

Hi Ralph, we really enjoyed meeting up with you again.
You captured the texure of the moss covered wheel nicely, (well, doesn't read quite rght;)
I think a tighter crop would be better...to get rid of the 'lean to' top right.
Why not post a close up of the texture in the workshop, then viewers can appreciate it better.
TLs low res just is not enough sometimes.
Cheers,
Pete.

Hi Rew,
Sure is a 'different' wedding photo...the mind boggles, wondering what she is thinking, lol.
Sriously though, you captured the moment brilliantly.
Black and white is the right choice too, well done.

You are quite right about my Howick house, I sould have applied some perspective.
At the moment my eyesight is a bit like looking through a large straw...frustrating, but I just have to make the most of it.
Cheers,
Pete.
