hi Sorina
Sometimes the benefit of visiting a country is gain of insight of not just the cities, the people but also the culture, tradition and landscapes as you travel.
I am not familiar with Italy or Europe because I am never there except London & Glasgow, transit only at Frankfurt and Abu Dhabi airports.
So when I see a lovely landscape like this in the mountains of Italy, it is very exciting to see the color tones of the water high in the mountains.
Why? In Sarawak we have mountains but I have never seen a lake like this among them with such pleasant colors.
I am therefore very pleased to see your well captured composition of this view which has a perfect level in horizon and well balanced land, water and sky combination. The red/yellow surf is very striking in your shot here.
Well done.

Ciao Ataman
Very interesting stone display on the mountain.
I like the composition you have done here with the slope at the top left. Perhaps for this photo, you can add some contrast, saturation, levels and sharpen before upload? It will help.

hi Janneke
Interesting how you see the eye.
The purpose of the eye is depending on what you wish to project and it can be many.
This is sharp and good clarity.

hi Danielle
I like this back view especially the gold colors of the dress and vase.
I think your pp work is better for altered image #3.
In this one I see the edges with some defects in cloning or lasso.
To make a better impression, you may wish to get a slightly wide view so that both elbows are in the frame :)
But generally your WS and this experiment to rid of the background distraction is a very good exercise on pp worflow.

hi Safak
A good portrait illustration of the exposure effect on a photo. It is the intended user or purpose of your photo that controls its acceptance.
I would think for photographic value, the shadow is very interesting, but for appreciation of portrait and the model, it is not.
In absence of any title or note, nothing much can be said.

hi Ramon
A good example of your title to show in this photo shot. I think in this case the light effect is much more powerful than the shadow.
But I always think the light effect cannot go without the shadow :) so it is a combination of both but how much tonal contrast that you play around with it for best effect.

hi Harout
This is a fine presentation of the historical ruins of this structure that makes a fine subject of photography.
Although I am not a fan of sepia tone for such architecture shot, I suggest that you also post the color version in your workshop.
I see a little blur. May I also suggest that you avoid using f/2.8 for such a shot because the shallow depth is not good, and you still have room to lower the shutter to handheld limitation of 1/60s.

hi Yancy
I think you know well how to spot abstract object and detect good color/contrast for your shots when you see this view.
I would think you must also be thinking how to compose the abstract so that the impact is strong on the viewer. Especially the placement of bicycle at the margin and causing a crop of it and the red crate - it can be easily avoided?
This can be a strong abstract.

hi Janek
I think you have done very well for your 1st. It is a lovely macro. I like the bright red and the tone of the mirror surface.
Maybe just frame it completely with the mirror reflection part?
