Nice shot Dai. I remember all the steps we had to climb to get to the abbey. We lived in Yorkshire and Whitby and Scarborough were always good for a day out. On the subject of cold lenses. If you have been out on a cold day it is helpful to put your equipment into a freezer bag when you take it indoors This allows it to warm up gradually without the condensation.
I like the over processed clouds with the colors on the wall. Who is even looking at the bikes. You make great images without even realizing it.......(;
What a beautiful place to walk around. The upkeep must need a full time crew for such expansive gardens. I did a workshop to remove the people and railings if you don't mind. nice capture of beauty.
I'm not sure your subject matter (the bicycles) is the right theme here as the wall art is the more dominant feature in this image and the bicycles simply add interest to the foreground.
I like this shot and if it was mine I'd be very tempted to play with it a little in Photoshop to enhance the vibrance and contrast to bring out the detail further in the wall art.
All said, this is a very good shot and I like it very much.
What a beautiful setting and gardens. The splash of red flower in the foreground whetted my appetite to look further into the shot.
We hope we will find a functional solutions for traffics in the big cities in the very "near future"... it is an "urgent issues indeed" in our home our planet! another great message by your gallery well done MICHAEL DOLBY
Biking in Paris and also all the big cities is one the best choices indeed without any cars around except emergencies! We hope they modified the look of the bikes, maybe it will encourage people, use them more often:-)...
