[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This is for those who like me long for the warmth of summer, this photo was taken a while back during our visit to the Seychelles in 2000 , it does not take long before you realise that your travel has taken you to paradise , we felt that this place was for us , not cheap nor easy to get to but a rewarding place to unwind , to decompress ! All around away from Victoria the capital city beaches invite the visitors for a good swim , its sand begging you to lie down and relax on it , just off shore among the polished boulders tropical fish abound and snorkeling is also one of the reasons we ended up there in the first place. We did just that . We had a great time , one island we enjoyed a bit more than the others is La Digue , a short 30 minutes schooner crossing from Prasline another beautiful island 4 kms away .On a day trip bicycles are useful to get from one end to the other of this rather small island we rented one and soon we were sitting on a beach , only to move on to another one as fabulous as the previous , what a day it has been ! This photograph shows one of the lovely beaches of this island , i included this peculiarly polished by wind and water boulder, just one of billions dotting the lanscape around here for some interesting perspective , these rocks are so characteristic of the Seychelles . They make very picturesque subjects along with the azure sea and brilliant white sand to complement them.
PP work : i found some of the noise distracting so ran Neatimage to remove it , cropped a little at top and right side , played with curves ,sharpened , framed and text added like a personal postcard ,
Thank you for looking ,

Bonjour Carol

WOW...Superbe photo!!!
Les couleurs sont fabuleuses et la forme du rocher est très intéressante...elle donne une perspective très belle!!
La lumière est fantastique!!!

I've never seen water so blue and sand so white in my life! That is amazing Carol! I too am looking for summer, tired of the cold, dreary weather! This is amazing, I love that sand formation, one of your best!

Hi Carol,
That water looks so inviting and warm, the colours are beautiful. Great PoV with this one with the rock leading you in and giving a good focal point. Best wishes

Boa tarde Carol
Wow what great days you must have there. You write a wonderful note to this very well composed photo. The sand is so white ( I would love to be there)and the rocks seem to be a agreat sculpture in this sand, both looking to a perfect blue sea.
It is so special to stay in those places in the Earth. They are Paradises and remember wow beautiful is this Land: Earth.
Very well composed, superb light and colors.
Um abraço

Lovely shot Carol - idyllic colours and beautifully layered composition, with nice lead-in from the rock.

Possibly a little oversharpened, some ghost lines visible along the lower edge of the rock especially.

Bonjour Carol,
WOW!
Annie

Wonderful and very well composed image, Carol!
Great colors, details, presentation and sharpness.
Congratulations and thanks for sharing, friend.

Have a good night!

Beautifully eerie picture. The composition and colors give the image an abstract quality.Best regards Otto.

Hi Carlo,
Fantastic photo from this beautiful island. I am so envious of you. This is one place that I always wanted to visit.

The colors are astounding.

Hi, Carol -
I love how the rippled rock formation leads the eye from the lower left corner into the paradise of warm, blue sea and bluer sky. The texture of the rock is sharply shown. Wonderful warm treat for the eye to take our thoughts off of winter. Excellent.

Hi Carol.
Amazing view with great colors.
Wonderful image.Congratulations.
Best greetings.Alin.

Oh man .. now this looks like a place where I could park my lounge chair for a good long while!!! Those colors Carol .. what an idyllic place this is. I have never seen beach sand that pristine color .. and the water and sky color... wow!
Now the boulder ... the star of this shot. That's amazing, the way this has been carved by nature.
This is just the sort of shot I love Carol - great job on this one. The composition is spot-on!
HOpe your afternoon is good. (I'm home with a headache today :)

such a nice blue water many years ago when I wasin Maldives. I experienced such views but your shot is amazing. I love the blues and the white combination.

Great shot.

Hello Carol!
You are making me envious here!! Such a beautiful scene - you are so lucky to have experienced it. Did you enhance colours in your PP work or did it really look this spectacular? That blue ocean is so beautiful and the sand, flawless. I feel a really relaxing mood when I look at this. Thank you for sharing paradise with me!

A classic shot of the classic tropical view.. Nice in it's simplicity Carol. Great colour and excellent sharpness through the whole image. The rocks make great subjects as you say.
I've only been to the main island - La Digue and Praslin on the 'to do' list.

Like the compo Carol
But I'm wondering what's going on with the colours ?
On both my monitors the sand has a pink shine.
Is it on your monitor white ?

Il y a de ces photos qui nous échappent...comme des grains de sable entre les doigts....
Ouppps...j'ai regarder aux travers des milliers de grains et ai vu celle-ci briller......
Bravo Mr Carol......Tout pour l'inspiration au rêve....
