This type of scene, with a woman carrying a heavy load on her head, is common place in Madagascar.
Shooting into the light, in this case, resulted in a recognizable near silouette. Shooting RAW helps keep a large dynamic range of light. Without RAW, this capture might not have worked.

Bonjour Karin,
Un instant de vie quotidienne percutant, j'aime bien ton POV qui permet de donner plus d'importance au personnage, et puis avec cette forte luminosité, on a l'impression d'y être.

I like that vertical composition on this one, it's really well balanced. Even with the RAW I think the main subject is still too dark though. Thanks Karin.

Hi,
I love the simplicity of this composition.Yet it is so effective in that it porttrays the title well. Nice touch to inlcude that bit of rock.
