Sleeping Baby Lemur
 |
|
| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
This baby brown lemur was trying to sleep while wrapped around mommy lemur. Mommy lemur was going ahead with her daily routine.
It had rained overnight and that is why mommy lemur's fur is wet. The baby seemed perfectly dry.
The fast lens was a definite requirement in the rainforest as subjects were mostly in shadow with onlyintermittent beams of light. |

Karin,
I like this photo mainly because of the bokeh. I do think your advice on my last posting about being able to see the eyes is important but maybe not so much in an old person or a sleeping lemur!
There seems to be a hot spot here on the baby's head but it's forgivable.
I think you have done well considering the conditions.
The 1/250 shutter speed might have been a bit too slow for a presumably hand-held shot.
Scott
Hi Karin,
Maybe the mum makes sure baby lemur has an oily fur.
Love this moment - it really looks like a baby.
You perfectly caught that ray of sunshine here.

Bonjour Karin,
J'adore ce portrait baigné de lumière.
Il en ressort une douceur... Le format vertical est bien choisi.
Bonne journée
Karèle
