Kinshasa, over 10 million inhbitants of which over 70 % have to survive on less then $1,- a day......
This guy can't even remember the last time he's seen a dollar. Living on charity handouts, thievery, surviving on 'colle', sniffin' glue. Life is hard, very hard for these kids.
We have to start to realize that we are the minority on this earth. These kids are our future. We have to take better care of them.

A rough life. This is a well captured portrait, noise levels are high so I'm guessing it was a high ISO or maybe this was a crop from a larger image? Whatever the case - composition, light, colours and bokeh here are all strong.
It's a compelling and touching shot - and those eyes are unforgettable.
