Early morning yesterday in Kathmandu city, not far from the Durbar Square, this young man was selling garlands. Atraditional way for people to decorate their homes and businesses during festivals and celebrations.
To all who celebrate the Festival of Lights, Happy Diwali.

Hello Mike,

Wow, no photographer could have resisted capturing those wonderful colour tones! The garlands make a pleasing vertical pattern into which the seller fits nicely. My suggestion would be to position yourself so that the bulk of the garlands are to the right of the person since he appears to be looking slightly that way; that would make him look more 'into' the shot.

Wow, amazing vivid capture Mike. What an impressive show of flower garlands .. real flowers, I presume? Really good minimalist shot .. really eyecatching.

Superb capture here of this lone figure in full colour glory and festive spirit. I like the POV but feel this image would have been more powerful if you used the power of DOF and placed your main subject more to the left and blurred out the BG flowers to infinity. It still gets my two thumbs for excellent POV and great timing!
