i like your idea and the simplicity it offers. i like how you have cornered the tree, and the overall contrasting colors are simply very pleasing to the eye.

i call it an intelligent, well thought-out composition :) thanks for sharing :)

Nice spotting of interesting light, shade, and structure. The deep blue of the sky and the windblown palm are great details.
