The casino in Grasse

I had this picture of this big building in Grasse and didn't know what to do with it, since it was not very good, in particular the sky was light blue but mostly burned out.
So I tried to make it look like an old photograph, since the composition reminded me of this type of picture.
I converted to sepia tones by using a layer in color mode with a layer mask containing a copy of the picture, and keeping only the mid tones in that mask thanks to the curves.
I generated clouds and converted the white to alpha. I was about to use a layer mask to only have them in the sky, but it gave a "dirty" look to the building, so the clouds are just on 100% of the picture.
Then I framed it as an old photo, put stains on it, all through the gimp's scripts. Rotated, and drop shadow.
Not a great picture by itself but I hope you'll like the PP. |

Salut,
l'effet vieille photo est bien rendu, mais adepte de photoshop, je reconnais les coup de pinceaux destructurés représentant les taches (trop régulières à mon goût). A mon avis, il y a moyen de mieux faire.
Je n'aime pas trop non plus le fond gris qui pour le coup fait complètement artificiel.
