Have you used HDR?
The photograph gives the impression of a photoplate in a book.
IMO, you were right to use the vertical format since it emphasises the idea of the stream tumbling down the hilside.
Good lead line and nice textural details.

Hi James,

Great capture of the waterfall with superb clarity and lovely attractive colors!
The landscape is wonderful and the trees adds great charm to this shot. The light piercing through the green cover, adds mood here. The moss on the left side shown rocks, is just amazingly shown.
