Few months ago I took the same photo exactly at Vatican City. :)
Very interesting shape of the stairs, great indoor shot, you managed to use the available light very well for your exposure. Great details and sharpness, awsome colours. Well done! TFS.

a good example of a shot that would benefit from a bracket exposure to get an average from such a high contrast. but as it is still an interesting image and wonderfully composed abstracted subject you get my marks.

Hello Mario,good capture of the staircase,very good POV.
The light shows all the pictures and textures that are in relief on the banister, and aids the perspective.Good DoF.

True, this represents the nautilus shape very nicely. A geometric pattern with implications that reach into so many corners of the universe.

Very interesting pov and superb composition.Ça ressemble à un bijou,si ce n'était pas des gens que l'on voit accotés sur la balustrade dans le haut de l'image,je n'aurais pas pu imaginer ce que c'était.Bel effest visuel.Jolies couleurs.

How I envy your trip to Italy and Rome. This must be a must-see place on your agenda. And it is small wonder the staircase is now famous for photography.

It is also great that you presented your own style in shooting this POV. The top skylight is not OE and the gradual light change is very interesting.

Seeing the heads of people popping over the railing is making your capture more interesting.

Ce Momo n'était certainement pas un nono.Une très belle oeuvre achitecturale aux détails sublimes. La capture photographique est excellente par l'angle choisi qui a su garder la perspective. Le doux éclairage de la montée conteraste bien avec l'explosion de lumière tout en haut. La présence des gens donne une très bonne idée de la dimension de l'oeuvre.

Je connaissais le Mario photographe d'oiseau, mais je suis heureux de le retrouver sur Trek Lens avec bien d'autres sujets tout aussi intéressant.

J'aime bien cette image pour son graphisme. J'ai bien hate de me procurer un super grand angle pour exploiter les perspective exagérée (j'ai une 20mm sur mon F3, mais mon D-300 n'est muni que d'un 18mm à date... ca viendra).

Nous avons ici un belle perspective, exposition et netteté sont impécables, et les jeux d'ombres et de lumières sont superbes. On y retrouve une très belle gamme de tonalités.

Cent fois bravo et TFS.
