[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
The Xewkija Church Dome in Gozo, Malta, dedicated to St. John The Baptist. Completed in 1981 and paid for by the 3,500 villagers, it boasts the third largest supported dome in the world, coming in after St. Peter’s in Rome. The dome is 74 metres high, with a diameter of 27 metres and a circumference of 85 metres. Its total weight is calculated to be around 45,000 tonnes.

I liked the shadow from the uppermost window and the color of the Maltese stone.

Hi Francis

Interesting crop and beautiful light add up to an excellent image.

Just beautiful monochromatic colour, my friend, and such excellent composition. It gives a real sense of height and grandeur. Well done Francis. It is a pleasure to view.

Hi Francis, Great view of this ceiling and the windows. Super close up and tight crop deliver good details of this structure. Nice light and angles. Best regards

Hello Francis, such a large dome and your point of view works well.We are able to see enough to get a very good impression of what the whole must be like.
I agree with you that the light making its pattern on the wall is very attractive.
