Okay, I know I said I was going to "..post only recent shots" :) :) - but as I had not had the chance to go out and get some.. I've been looking in my CDs and saw this (actually one I've posted before).
This time though I made use of the raw file.

Shad Thames is a quaint and picturesque lane just on the south bank of the Thames (the Thames is just behind the architecture to the left here).
This evening I stumbled on it while I was walking round looking for an unusual view of Tower Bridge.
As with many of these little lanes in London, I was struck by it's charm and character. And in my opinion London and these little lanes look their most appealing in the evenings, when the lights come on :)

I was attracted by the lights coming through the windows on the right and those leading the eye gently in.
And without even thinking about it, set up the tripod immediately :)

Hello Daniel,

Good to see you're back on line and topped up with photos, either new or old.

I have a similar shot of this place, unfortunately it was dark already and low lighting around.

Nice place indeed, some great apartments there too, with some interesting terraces joining the opposite buildings, making a nice place to have a rest - saw some plants there, chairs and ever a BBQ ;-)

The comp here is truly grand: I love the way you have framed the people, almost overwhelmed them with the mass of buildings

The lighting is very well handled in this photo. The lights and the catwalks above makes this interesting. Although it looks evening in your photo, the sky above is blue. :)

Thanks for your comment on my photo, "The Nile River".

Hello Daniel.
Nice evening streetscene, but the steet itself shows you did sharpen it a bit too much, imo.
Though you have an good balance between Light and dark.

Hi Daniel,
very nice setting for this picture,. The lighting and colors set the ambiance and you chose an excellent POV.
Very nice night shot.

Hello Daniel,
What is catching my attention is the of course the gangways connecting the two sides of the street!
Great feeling of depth is achieved, fine details in the architecture and the appropriate tad of motion blur in the walkers!
Greetings,

Hi Daniel, I like this photo then and I still like it! This is a good pov of the curved road and good lighting. And the people walking by are a bonus.

Take care, Yan :)

Yep the RAW really allowed for the shadows textures and tones. Thought I would look at yourv early stuff and it is also most impressive. You work so wlll in dim or night light.

Dan

I love the rich warm tones in this well composed image, captured the atmosphere brilliantly, thanx, M, (*_*)
