Dear friends,
once again, I am expressing my deep appreciation to everyone for their very encouraging feedback on my "bridges across the Thames" series. I am really delighted that you are enjoying viewing them just as I am absolutely thrilled capturing them :-)

I present today a rather different POV/subject - though I still consider it very much a part of this series - as this scene is right under The Blackfriars Railway Bridge.

This is part of the Thames Path on the south bank. I consider it a very useful feature along the river banks as it affords good views of the river/bridges. There are also parts where it meets with (or passes through/underneath) certain notable features - such as here (where it passes underneath the Blackfriars railway bridge), scenes which I think make for subjects to photograph in their own right.

Like here, as I walked towards the otherside to setup for shooting the Railway Bridge itself, I paused to consider this scene, eventually setting up here too, to capture one quick shot or two before proceeding.

Thanks again for looking :-)

I love the motion of the people here! It's like an old movie scene! Very scary, but yet it's normal life! Very nice details of the bricks here! Wonderful light also!

Hello Daniel,

Your POV here really draws the eye into the shot! I like the f/g detail, the spooky shadows and the busy movement that you have achieved!

Kind regards,

Hello Daniel.
Start thinking your camera dont have shutterspeeds, faster an half a second, haha

Hi Daniel,
Very nice structures on this one. Different subject then i'm used from you... Light is very nice. Because of the shutterspeed you used, i cabn see the two people in front 'moving', well that's the consequence of shooting in evening conditions.

Hi Daniel, nice shot here. I like the light and great pov. TFS

A question - how were you able to get this shot without a security guard coming at you?

In these "times of security" (sic) the freedoms we used to take for granted are hugely restricted.

Those things said, this is a great shot - a very interesting place, impressive architecture and construction, great light. I love the off-centre composition.

Excellent job

Hi Daniel.

Excellent capture of movement, light and angles in this shot. The open gates and rails contrast nicely with the vaulted brick arches.

The slightly warm effect of the lighting compliments the shot well.

Best wishes, Paul.
