Hi Brian,

I find the house itself very interesting. It's really beautiful. The man just adds to the photo as it shows someone who has apparently lived here a long time. I like the black and white you have chosen, but I also would be interested in seeing the color version in this instance.

It reminded me of this:

"There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile.
He found a crooked sixpence against a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse,

The b/w presentation emphasises the structure of the building and the posture of the man. Good choice.

Hello Brian, I like the connection between the house and the man,well spotted.
I knew that this was York even before I read your note.
The b/w was a good idea, we are not distracted by colour and can focus more on the subject.
The characters are perfectly placed in the composition.
