End of the road, or just un new beginning. So many things we can't do nothing about. Why not concentrate on what we can. Abandon and let go what you can't do anything about..such is life....

Hi Dennis,
The out of focus leave in front is too much of a distraction IMO and the one further back is also unsharp - a good choice of subject and low PoV
cheers
Jack

i like so much this abandon so great shot and note,

thanks Denis,

you gave me a good beginning for this work day,

Hi Denis - I'm probably seeing what Jack's seeing here sharpness wise. A nice composition, great use of the narrow DOF and strong colour. Also the idea of using the wet surface for reflections is great.. However the main focal subject though of the leaf seems to be a little 'shaky' if you'll excuse my honesty!

I would say that the 1/100 second with a 260mm focal length is where the shake has happened. As a rule I use min shutter speed equal to the focal length - or a tripod..

Cheers
DAvid

Bonjour Denis,
Je te cite: "Je crois qu'une photo "réussie" doit faire appel à nos émotions". (Home is where your heart is).
Tu mets magnifiquement en pratique ce que tu écris avec cette photo au titre si évocateur! Superbe couleurs et reflets.
Une bien jolie façon de lâcher prise! Bravo! Annie

Hi Denis.Personally I find this picture beautiful and the leaf in the background appears to be sharp.I like the blury leaf in the foreground.Nice play,Great colors. This is a moody picture full of visual poetry.Best regards,

Bonjour denis

It' not the oof fg, that distracts, but the high key tone, which I would burn in, to shift attention to the sharply focussed centre. Good use of a shallow dof, & merci!

Now this is interesting and DIFFERENT! You had to be laying on the ground for this shot...in the wet! Your bokeh is wonderful here, I LOVE this extreme DOF type of shot. This is simple, lets the viewer decide how they feel about it!
B-)
Linda
