The lilacs are abundant this time of year. My partner (ciao_bella) clipped some and put them in a vase on the kitchen table. The fragrance is full and a strong presence in the house.
I was experimenting with my 105mm macro lens. I was playing with selective focus and came up with several soft, dreamy images with varying hues. This is the first in a series.

Very little post processing other than noise removal. I kept the lense wide open and at its closest focusing distance. I also stacked 3 close up filters. I used a halogen floor lamp for lighting. Then I moved the vase back and forth and around until I saw something I liked. Voila.
