FROZEN TILL SPRING

A very frosty February morning. A thick layer of sparkling Hoar frost is everywhere. The sun was just up then I took this photo. The camera was in my coat pocket so it wouldn't freeze up. The temperature was a chilly -25C.

The Hoar Frost doesn't stay on the trees long, when the sun gets a bit higher in the sky, the frost drops off quickly.

Hand Held......now where's the hot chocolate :)

S U P E R B E cette photo Janice, tu as bien fait de la garder en réserve pour les journés chaudes...mais pour l'instant il pleut depuis plusieurs jours!
J'adore les photos prisent tôt le matin et encore plus avec un tel décor, l'effet est assuré.

Shooting hoar frost require fast work, but the results are worth the speed and effort. This is a lovely composition and well-timed for our hot weather.
