A different one today!

It is now 19:30hrs. We did a quick tour of the village before heading to the Cultural center to assist at tonight's show part of the Grande-Vallee Song Festival
I just played a bit with PP to present you the covered bridge Galipeault located in the center of the village above the river with the same name, i..e. Grande-Vallée river (^_^).

Built in the 1920's, named from the Prime Minister who authorized it's construction then. Since then the main road ( Highway 132 ) was diverted closer to the shore, and a newer bridge was built.

On the sign , In French it is written: Let's keep our bridge clean and in good shape. As it is indeed now classified an Historical monument, it does require more attention. I was pleased to note, No apparent graffitis were covering it. (*_^).

Well here , with Photoshop , I played a bit with this one.
Technically:
1) Removed, The Clearance warning sign above the entrance. the 10 KM Speed limit sign on the right side, electric wires, another sign just below on the left.
2) Applied a fresh coat of darker red paint (*_*)
3) Played with tones, levels, contrasts.
With Neat Image,
Image filtered and sharpened.
With Photofiltre
1) Added a thin black line and a White frame to enhance the darker colors.
2) Resized and saved for publishing.

Voilà!

PS. Tomorrow, Promessed , I will publish a sunny picture! as It was not only rainy when we visited our friends.

I am adding the Original as a workshop for your review.

Have a great and peacefull Day everybody.
Robert

Great job Robert. Very good colours and sharpnes. Congrats:)

Hi Robert.
Lovely colours and great sharpness.
Excellent notes.Thanks for sharing.
Best wishes,
Robert

Nice covered bridge Robert. The reds really pop under the low light conditions. Nicely done pp work you have here. I love covered bridges! There are a few within a hour of here. Sadly they are disappearing quickly due to no maintainance. Only a few are taken care of regularly. Thanks so much for sharing this one with us Robert. Enjoy your Sunday!

Love and Peace always
Kevin

Again a great hit! super photo,

Bonjour Robert,

Bon dimanche! Annie

Hello Robert,

Excellent job in brightening up the image. The pink and green was a bit ghastly. I have always had a fascination with these covered bridges. TFS,
David
Many thanks for your comment on
Blue Fog
Possibly Robert but I was more intent on attempting to capture the background :)

Hi Rob,

Lovely POV and vivid colours! You did a fantastic PP work here! You made it look "alive"... :))
Excellent contrast and details!
Well done!

Hi Robert

I like the color combination of red magenta & green. The 3 warm colored areas add symmetry & balance to the composition. Well done!

wow, so colourful, so contrasting, I love this...amazing composition...looks like a great place!

take care, Ivana

Hi Robert,
Very interesting subject, I didn't know you have them in Canada too!
Pleasant composition with good lines, rich saturated colours and fine details...
But do you have any idea why they build covered bridges???
Greetings,
Pablo -

Allo Robert
Bonne présentation, tu pourrais la soumettre au ministère du transport pour qu'il change leur photo (ah! ah!). Le rouge est vif, très belle réalisation. Merci.

Wow! Hot dry colours on a (cold?) wet day! Perhaps this is a foretaste of the sun to come ...
I really do love the way the red and green work together here. Grand POV and composition, superb PP work, all resultiing in a winning capture
