I'm STILL playing with my extention tube. This time I decided to move indoors to record a beautiful orchid that has been blooming for at least a month now.

Flash filled with the flash dialed down (-2.0). It was still bright, so I diffused it with a white napkin.

Hi Mike - The title is perfect. This is an almost microsopic shot, so close and detailed. I like the 'tunnel' vision with its various layers of depth. The varying amount of light coming through the petals is intriguing with the second layer looking like snow. Nature offers us beautiful compositions of colour and design. Your photo reflects this extremely well. Thank you.

Hi Mike,
Excellent way to diffuse the light of the flash and create that superb macro of the orchid. I like this thight framing and the softness of these colors with this excellent sharpness. Very well done.

Hi Mike,

That's an amazing shot ...at least to me. I know nothing about extention tubes. It's an interesting technique and Georgia O'Keeffe would like it. (The only reason I know how to spell "O'Keeffe" is because it was in the crossword puzzle the other day!. I think there may be some specks on your sensor.
