[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Yesterday was a wonderful day and so I went for a walk to the local park looking for photo opportunities. This was taken with my wide angle lens (Sigma 10-20) and this is why the tree trunks appear to lean. If I am wrong in that respect I should be grateful for comments.
Thanks for viewing

Very sharp and colourful David - I like the idea of the tilt but feel that it actually could be greater rather than just the 5-10 degrees or so. Then again I like the zany angles!!

David

Hello David,

Nice autumn scene in the local park.
Very good clarity, sharpness and lovely colors.
I'm not sure about tilt... but everything else is excellent.

Best regards,
Tatjana

Love the effect of the wide angle David.
What a beautiful scene .. great warm fall colors against a great cloudless sky!
We missed out on fall colors on the prairies this year ... went from 30 degree summer weather to bone-chilling freezing temps, and snow in a matter of one week ... the trees didn't know what hit them!! :)
Have a nice week
Trudy

Hi David,

The trees are leaning a bit, but I don't think it's a problem with a wide-angle shot like this. It would be different if it were an architectural shot. Very sharp, with excellent DOF. Nice colors too.

Best regards,
Werner

Bella imagen de este arbol multicolor que nos muestra el otoño ,seguramente la estacion del año mas bella en cuanto a color y luz tan especial
felicidades
Buen trabajo
un saludo

Hi David,
Awesome colours in this one! Great use of the strong light. I've got no problem with the slightly leaning trees :), I get the same 'effect' when photographing buildings with my wide-angle lens - Often inevitable. The composition could have been a tad decentralized, but the balance between highlights and shadows more than make up for it. Good job.

TFS,
Scott.

Hi David,
You are correct, this lens does have a fair amount of distortion and sometimes this can be used as a creative touch. In my eyes that's the case in your shot. The lens did its job perfectly in rendering the colors and exposure. I agree with Scott on the central placement of your main subject but I am not bothered about it that much.
TFS,
Niek

Hi David...great colors and details..nice shot.

dear David,
light and colors are really autumnal, and those are so beautiful.
I like the left portion of deep blue, green and red colors, the autumnal "deep" ambience is well expressed in it.
the effect of 10mm wide lens is not so obvious on central tree, but peripheral warping is interesting.
thank you,
Akihisa

Hi David! Beautiful colors and light of the october. I was travelling a lot in the last days and I see outside the same beautiful colors of the threes and the deep blue sky in the light of the warm sun. But for my bad luck, I have not the camera with. Thaks for remembering me of this nice moments. Best regards Csabi

Hi David,

I like this one.
The main subject to me is the tree in the foreground and it stands out so great that it completely distracts the attention from the lens issue. And that defines a successfully seen subject to me here.
Besides, a perspective crop with the left and right upper corners leaned inside the image at the same angle as the trees would cut out some image parts without affecting the main subject.
I tried it on your posted image, but it introduces bad artifacts during the transformation. Nevertheless I guess the same crop on the original image does no harm at all.

TFS,
Attila

As a matter of fact, It's beautiful, David.
I love Autumn!

warm regards
