yes, welcome to winter Michel. We on the prairies, had our first snow several weeks ago .. it has since disappeared though.
Great composition with the cattails in the foreground, the barn well placed in the shot, and the snowy hills in the BG. Great job

magnifique cette première neige, ici en belgique (sur la côte) ont a encore 15°C et ont se promène encore en sweatshirt

on set le froid qui est tomer sur ce paysage, la brume dans le fond rend cette ambiance
belle perspective avec cette grange et la foret en deuxièmme et fond de plan
les roseaux donnent un superbe premier plan

Ici à Rio l'eté est proche et nous aurons jours avec 42 Celsius! :o)
J'ai froid simplement à voir cette belle image que tu mets dans un cadre de parfaite fonctionallitée.
La vegetation au premier plan aide beaucoup la excellente profondité à l'image.

Hello Michel,

I cannot believe how quickly this has followed those wonderful, rich autumnal scenes!
Wonderful composition.
I love how you have used the contrasting reeds for f/g interest and then followed this with horizontal layers of receding sharpness and muted colours.
The focal house is perfectly placed in the frame.

Much as I enjoy photographs of the snow, I am not looking forward to the dropping temperatures and slippery surfaces!

Hello Michel, a good composition of the snow covered field and the barn;I feel cold just looking at it!
I like the detail of the plants in the fg.
The DoF is good with the misty bg adding to the feeling of cold.

Ohh! here you gave us a great example of 'Global Warming':) - from such beautiful colors from your series of autumn shots and then suddenly this cover of snow and that too - 5 cm - buhhhh :)

The way you took the shot, keeping the house off-centered, is praiseworthy. A great scene is captured here with nice shrpness and from a well chosen POV. Well done, my friend.

Une belle capture avec en premier plan les joncs qui font le beau avec leur peau douce couleur daim, et ce joli manteau blanc qui lui aussi, plonge la nature dans un captivant silence.

Hi Michel,
Outstanding work, the composition is just right. The snow actually reminds me of cookies and cream ice-cream, lol. Love the distant haze and the inclusion of the FG bushes. Can feel the cold from here! :). Great job.

Ici la neige a pas resté au sol. Elle a bien laissé son manteau sur les sillons de cette terre avec les herbes et genouilles. La vieille grange vue sous cette première neige est remarquable. L`effet de flou en arrière plan donne encore plus de sens a l`image

Salut Michel,

Je vois que tu indiques maintenant l'heure ;o)
À cette heure là, j'étais sur la route (en retard) pour le travail.

Jolie scène bien composée dans un format carré tout adapté. J'aime bien les quelques quenouilles en avant plan qui nous font pénétrer dans ton image. Une composition bien équilibrée. Une légère couleur chaude que j'hésite à corriger car tôt le matin nous avons souvent des teintes chaudasses. Par contre je me suis permis de faire un ptit WS non pas corrective mais qui présente une autre façon bien différente de voir cette scène et je ne prétend pas que c'est mieux, loin de là. Joli boulot, bravo.
