Love this Dot ... it really jumped out at me from the thumbnails. I actually really like the over exposed area at the top of the shot, with the leaves fading off into nothingness! The bench being placed off center balances the shot, IMO. Great job.

Typically the kind of mood that asks for a black and white conversion, but I think I understand why you refrained from it, Dot ;o).
The fall colours are eye-catching and, though crisp, do not alter the meditative mood. The minimalistic composition adequately counterbalances that crispness.
I like the gradient in the yellow tones of the tree, as well the way these tones fade into the white sky (even though it looks a bit too harsh there for my eyes). The latter aspect makes the upper part of the photo look quite different from the rest. As if there was an "upward gradient" from a realistic representation (bottom of the photo) to an abstract on (upper part).
Something tells me this picture would look better printed than on a (too) bright computer screen.

I love this composition Dot. The featured tree looks regal, the placement of the bench adds rustic charm to this foggy scene. Exposure wise, an ND filter may help reduce the brightness of the top tree. Kind regards,

It looks like people were lined up to give you points on this one. There may have been a feeling of emptiness when you took this photo, but now it fills my heart. :) The BG fog really adds to this photo. Very well captured. Your eyes must pan for photo ops everywhere you go.

Fog has a way of making you feel isolated, yes?

Bonjour Dot,

Un joli cliché, fait d'une grande simplicité mais qui a une âme, celle de ce banc rencontrant cet arbre aux couleurs or!!!
Le banc apporte sa présence et l'arbre l'illumine le tout forme un joli duo rempli d'une certaine mélancolie, celle d'un été fini laissant place au froid et à une vien sans couleurs pour quelques mois!!!

Une grande atmosphère se dégage de cette photo . J'aime le jeu de la lumière dans le haut de l'arbre et de l'ombre dans le bas . Le banc vide qui semble attendre quelqu'un et le brouillard complète l'ambiance .
