Today was almost a breaking point.
I am physically, emotionally, spiritually and academically exhausted; working six days a week and trying to prepare for finals starting tomorrow.
And perhaps more importantly, I am exhausted from simply trying to figure out what to do next. Life is a journey, and nobody ever said it was going to be an easy one.
Both hands on the steering wheel.
Tonight was just what I needed, as TL member dominant and myself took a little drive out into the frozen darkness, looking - for the first time in too many months - for someplace to shoot some photos under the full moon.
We got chased by a dog, Jeff got sick, we were pulled over by the Sheriff, and we got back to town at 5:30 am with just three photographs between the two of us.
This was my favorite of my two shots, taken using tungsten white balance (a la one of my personal favorite photographers, Troy Paiva. Just a simple railroad crossing sign, one of thousands which dot the countryside all across America.
In PS CS, tweaked levels and contrast, ran through Neat Image, cropped, and resized. I hope you enjoy, and I will post my other shot tomorrow.

Hi Brian, Super shot. I have saw this style before and will have to try it out myself sometime. How long was the exposure? Did you use any additional filters on the camera whilst taking the shot?
With regards to the picture, it's simple yet effective, the POV works really well (for me anyway).
Bryan.
PS When you got our two hands on the steering wheel, make sure you use our seatbelt!!

Hello Brian! I just posted a night shot also but this one is definitely better! Great capture of the stars' rotation. Thanks for sharing!
Pierre
Hello Brian,
Out of the two I like this one the best. Maybe because there is more of a sense of movement here in the stars with polaris as the pivot point. The image impacts me more with that feature and the crossroads sign in the foreground. Very well done Brian! a fav
Love and Peace Always,
Kevin
i prefer this one over the other...i think its because of the better star trail in this one (you can see the center of rotation)...also i like the more off center compo of this one better...i think its interesting how the sign almost looks like a separate shot that has been superimposed on the sky...great exposure...peace***
ps...why did the sheriff pull you over...did you get a ticket...give me a call over break if you wanna shoot...peace again***
