[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This is an old preserved mine sluice and mill in the Cherokee national forest. I looked at this several times and finally decided to go with a sepia tone. Posting the b/w in workshop for comparison. Slight oe on the roof as it was a bright day and I hadn't gotten my polarizer or ND Grad yet.

PP--cropped and adjusted tilt, resharpened.

Really nicely done Gary. I like it very much. Regards, Jean.

Interesting object and well done picture.
The effect of sepia is very good.
Thank you for sharing
bye Aghi

Hi Gary,
The treetment of sapia/grat tones works really good here. I also like the defused frame, would want to see the sharpness a bit increased, well seen & captured.
Cheers
David

Nice work on the sepia treatment and the border. It goes well with the subject and gives a timeless feel. It looks like some of the old postcards I have that date to 1901.

Hi Gary, It seems a foto of one hundred years ago, lovely composition and beautiful sepia tone, have a nice sunday, ciao Silvio

Hi Gary,
This is lovely! Great composition, interesting subject, and I love the choice of sepia tones. Gives the image an old feel to it. I like the framing too. TFS Cheers Tina :-)

Great work here, sepia tone matching the subject; I’d made it without frame.

Your sepia is convaincing my friend! How classic look like from who know.... the year 40 or 50. I take i look at the date you take it.... Just one year! Ok i see the 2 bloc in first plan to reveal it's not form the 40 or 50 but around nothing... Even theese box need some attention :)
Excellent work!

Great photo. Presented very well as an old photo. The sepia tone really adds to it. Strong composition with excellent detail.

TFS,
David

Wow the sepia tone works well here Gary. The photo looks very old as is the building itself. Nice shot, great quality.
Cheers,
Debbie

Perfect old picture, I love it!
Well done,

The absence of colour enhances the old feeling here. Nice feathery soft frame.

Thanks for the critique on the "stage"

Hi Gary,

I like the effect of sepia here.
It works very well, especially when the subject is an old mine.
Great choice, good composition and a beautiful image!

Greetings, Nel

Wonderful photo, as I told you before I like the old buildings. I looked at the ws and think that the sepia was the right way to go. I also like the effect you did on the edges of this one. The trees lend to a nice setting. Good notes on this one also.
In my driving around I found an old run down resort that I took some shots of. I need to pick which ones to upload.

Hello Gary,
This is a really nice picture, although it makes me realise I don't know what a sluice is. Makes me think of the antique photo section on ebay. I look but rarely buy.
