I spent alot of time in Pennsylvania driving around looking for old barns like this! For me there are "ghosts"....there are so many memories here.... I wonder who spent their days here. Now it's just an old remnant of the past.
I converted from RAW to JPEG and the architecture was real nice, but color took something away from it. So I colorized it to blue... and then it spoke to me! HA!
Have a great day!
Linda

I'm a big fan of blue colorization Linda, and
this was a great choice for it.
I like the wide angle here letting us see what is around the barn,
Well done - Vincent

Hi Neighbour, :-)
Fine shot of this solitude barn, lovely composition, the blue tone doesn’t work for me though, but that’s quite personal. I would perfect or black & white or sepia. Nonetheless a fine posting!
Hansie

Hi LInda,
It looks like an infra-red photo.
Nice compo and architecture.
greetings,
Joop!

It was worth the drive!
Great composition -- maybe just a tad dark?

I love what you did with your picture, thanks for the note

Bonjour Linda
C'est sûr que cette photo en couleur doit avoir beaucoup moins de charme. As tu essayé en sépia ?
Belle photo

i like the use of tones here linda :)
the gloomy looks works well for that ghostly feel in the image
it looks like the whole place is covered in some kind of dirt or ash :)

Hello Linda,
you know I'm not a big fan of BW, but works here. good pov.
back from Canada, and tired and jetlaged.

Hi Linda

Nice mono shot, the blue makes it feel so cold. I reminds me of a winter twilight. Good contrast and I like the composition

Hello Linda,
Nice pp work... So much to see just looking at the barn... so many memories.. I can just imagine the simple times!
Not many of the Old ghosts left....
The one I took last year as predicted has been flattened very sad...

I don't like that fact: so many of barns across the country are like dead... just sad, but for shooting splendid opportunity and you my friend show that in very good way - technically picture is very good because you managed that nice, soft tones!!! yahoo!!!
Tom:)

ghosts, why not !

Maybe a bit too centered for me but I love the tones !
Wonderful moody one.

thanks,

A lovely ghost barn well captured. It's a very good exposed picture to handle all the grey.
Best wishes,
Achim

You have recreated the exactly, right colour of blue that nature would . I love the great detail on this old hay barn with its sad doors in such disrepair. I love to think of the folks that worked so hard to live as they did. Inspiring image. Well done.

Wanda

Hi Linda,

Happy New Year(belated)!I was away for more than a month, visiting the U.S.A., Atlanta, GA. Nice to see my TL friends work again!Lovely shot, very moody, excellent colorizing scheme, matching the mood.
Nicely composed and very sharp.
TFS,
Vassilis

Hi Linda, a nice conversion but like others I think BW would have looked better. Excellent POV and good etail and sharpness in the barn itself. TFS,
David

This is very interesting. I like the lens distortion. The tree on the side adds alot to the photo
well done,
Shelby

Hi Linda,
Well I certainly love viewing old buildings...I need to start shooting them more myself. Alot of times the color versions do not seem to fit...the blue look looks good on this...good detail captured and the center comp seems to work well here. Nice shooting Linda!

Lyndon

very impressive photograph Linda. The blue colorization really complements the mood and adds to the subject. Well thought out and executed! Tfs, -Tunc
