[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This is a Green Lynx spider that lived in my back yard for a few weeks. I was struck by the contrast of the bright green spider against that bright pink background of the plumeria bush. He stayed in the same place every day - even on the same flower. The green lynx spider is apparently an ambush attacker and only uses a rudimentary web to anchor itself. He (she?) would eat a bee every day for a meal. I shot this with my old Micro-Nikkor f3.5 on a D40 body with an external Nikon Sb 400 flash. The D40 works great with old Nikkor lenses, but you have to guess exposure, because it only works on 'M' with no meter reading. Trial and error pays off, though. My teenage daughter liked the D40 so much that I finally gave it to her and am now sticking with my EOS system. The Micro-Nikkor still works with the EOS through an adapter and actually provides stop-down metering in the 'A" mode.
