Hi Agoes...
Nice place for visit :-)
Nice shot with so nice details, colors, composition...
Have a nice weekend...
Regards...
Andro

Hello Agoes,

This really is a fine pov with the f/g pebbles for textural interest and the slipway leading nicely towards the well-placed , orange-turreted hut. Your rule of thirds has been well applied.
However, there appears to be blue cast perhaps causing a flattening of the colours. I have done a w/s to try to address this. I hope you are not offended and like the results.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Agoes

I guess it does follow rule of thirds in some ways, but in others it doesn't. One of the strongest visual components - the line of water vs. shore across the harbour - is right in the centre of the frame.

I personally think that if you had aimed the camera higher and had a 2:1 ratio of sky to land, or aimed the camera lower and had a 1:2 ratio, the shot would be stronger.

Doing so would also move the jetty and the boats into a vertical 1/3rd-spot, not just horizontal one.

My thoughts. :)

Hello Agoes! Wonderful pier, amazing sail and boats. Nice colours, good saturation. Very nice landscape. Original work. Well done!

Wow! Good old NZ! Great capture here of this place with good lighting and natural colours to add a sense of vibrancy to the scene. Although the rule of thirds experiment is not fully realized (assuming your FP is the jetty), the scene works well for me as it really puts you in the picture due to the excellent DOf and uniform sharpness throughout the scene. Rules are meant to be broken and I like your POV and composition very much! TFS!

regards,

Dilshan
