| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
This is Rob, Tone and Nicholas's flat. It's a 1960 Franchi & Ion brick and tile flat. Two bedrooms, kitchen, laundry, bathroom, no storage (my Norwegian wife always complains about storage, Norwegians have small rooms with huge cupboards). The best feature is the solid rimu floorboards which you can't get today for love or money.
There are flats like this all over Aucklands North Shore, very common, most are in blocks of 3, although some are 4 or more. All are slightly different from each other. They are very well built, unlike the cheap shoddy constructions that have sprung up in other parts of Auckland. They are always in demand and popular with young couples (like me) and older people. |

Hi Rob, yes, I remember these places being built and I have been in many of them over the years. Well built homes too. You are lucky to own one in Milford, as it is a very popular place to buy now.
Good angled photo, well done.
