[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
The next in my Augusta Rodeo series and the second of the Barrel Races. As a photograper, I am extremely happy with this photo. Because the horse actually slipped when I made the photo and both horse and rider were about to fall down. A profesional photographer, who was sitting next to me, started to curse soon after because he missed it. Both horse and rider walked away without injury.

Tech talk: same as the rest of this series.

WOW! Great shot of this horse sliding into the turn! Before I could get the camera focused, the horse would be gone! HA! Nice catch!

Hi Niek,
what a shot, the timing was incredible. I hope the horse was not hurt. Excellent capture, the details are wonderful sharp even in that speed.
A wonderful composition full of dynamic and action.

Well, at least they walked away. I'm sure I would be hurting and trying not to show it, and I would imagine the horse was none too happy. It is a super shot though. That Canon camera is so quick in burst mode that you probably got before, during and after fall shots. I captured a series that when I scrolled through them on the LCD panel my moose walked briskly across the river and pooped on the other side. It was hilarious because it was like a movie. I keep trying to anticipate what you will post next. I say it is brahman bull riding!

Another big greenie for this one!

Wow, fantastic timing to catch this unique shot. Great detail and composition as well. Very nice capture. TFS

Hello Niek,
You were lucky to be ready for whatever happened. Good timing and success on taking an action shot. Well done.

Regards,
Iris

Haha, because you were blocking his way, LOL. But for me personally he's not a professional because there are lots of angle of views/composition to capture that fleeting moment. Yours was so great capturing the real essence. BRAVO man.

Thanks/Salamat,
Jeffrey

great shot niek, like a the fast and the furious - tokyo drift :-))

great action photo niek :)
very good catch

you re serie is amazing !!!the action and the sharpness are just fantastic :)

Niek,
Leuke foto.
Goed werk
Annick

Niek,
GREAT capture here. Perfect timing, focus and composition. glad to see both were okay. Congrats!
