[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
The Iraq War (March 20, 2003 to present), sometimes known as the Second Gulf War, is an ongoing war that began with the United States-led invasion of Iraq in 2003. The US-led coalition overthrew Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and occupied Iraq, causing ongoing asymmetric warfare with the Iraqi insurgency and the civil war between Sunni and Shia Iraqis. Whether Iraq should be considered part of the American War on Terrorism is debated, although the war was authorized by the U.S. Congress to help "prosecute the war on terrorism" in October 2002. The causes and consequences of the war remain controversial

Hi Robin. I saw this picture yesterday before was deleted and I`m agree with you.
No more war. Peace, love and freedom.
Best Regards Mate.

Well lit and well composed, although I would have preferred a totally black background for this, and possibly the point of focus should have been the tip of the bullet.

It's interesting that you get 8 points (so far) for a macro of a bullet and a political message, but I got no points initially for a picture of the site of the World Trade Center in New York City where over 2,700 people lost their lives in an hour.

Great macro though!

Um, Annagrace, perhaps you need to put this into perspective. How many people, including Americans, have been killed at the hands of the American government over oil or, hell, even fruit and Coca-cola in South America? Perhaps the message here could be more concise, the world is sick of war=US economy. Tragic for those people you refer to, yes, but ask how it might be if another country did that to your people for years and years based on lies. Peace to all and thanks for the grand photo!

Background is distracting, subject is blurry, and the note is just as blurred. Maybe you will understand when Switzerland falls to Islam.

Bonjour,
L'objet est aggressif mais la photo intéressante.
Bonne journée.

Robin,
Although the war in Iraq is controversial, so is the bombing of the WTC in NYC. I find it compulsive that people who do not live in the U.S. fail to realize that Osama and Saddam had ties and they would try to KILL more people that the Gulf Wars did. Although they were going to do it in a sneaky way. At least the American's stand up for what we think is right and will confront our enemies with soldiers, not mustard gas, nerve agents, blister agents and other toxins hidden in packages left in trash bins. I am not for the war (or George W. Bush) but have you forgotten 9-11 or did you even care? Probably not because your safe in Switzerland. I am a true American and long after Bush leaves office I will still be patriotic.

About the photo:
I do like the subject matter and the detail is okay but the focus is too shallow. If the focus had been on the tip, it would have been better. That's NOT to say this isn't a nice image because it is. I left political notes mainly because the photographers notes you left did not mention anything about the process of the photo or the technique you used.
I think it's a good image and will reward it as such.

A beautiful composition which is of course providing an artictic perspective. Colors of brass and lead are nicely depicting its original hues. Defusing focus is interesting. Which lense did you use? Or is it a post processing?

Thanks you for sharing a beautful image.
