I did the map so take a look.. I think that is pretty close to where I was standing when I took this photo

12 days and we are off to Sint Maarten… can not wait. Only problem is we have YET to receive our passports so as of Friday I am on a daily mission to call and check the status of them. Last time I called they said our 2 kids passports where done but the adults where not… go figure like the kids can go alone???

As I sit here typing this it is a cool, dark rainy day that will not get above 55 F (or 12 C) degrees.. I checked the St. Maarten site and it’s a sunny warm 85 F (or 29 C) degrees…

This photo I took on one of our beach walks .. as I remember it was just me and Sara looking for sea shells to take back home.

Auto adjusted photo, cropped out some busy stuff and the date on the bottom! Saturated and added frame text and size for TL….

Taken from Wikpedia

Saint Martin (Dutch: Sint Maarten; French: Saint-Martin) is a tropical island in the northeast Caribbean, approximately 240 km (150 miles) east of Puerto Rico. The 87 km² island is divided roughly in half between France and the Netherlands; it is the smallest inhabited sea island divided between two nations.
• The southern Dutch half comprises the Eilandgebied Sint Maarten (Island area of Saint Martin) and is part of the Netherlands Antilles.
• The northern French half comprises the Collectivité de Saint-Martin (Collectivity of Saint Martin) and is a dependency of France.

Future status

The Netherlands Antilles is to be disbanded on December 15, 2008.[9] The idea of the Netherlands Antilles as a state never enjoyed full support of all islands. Political relations between islands were often strained. After a long struggle, Aruba seceded from the Netherlands Antilles in 1986, to form its own state within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The desire for secession has also been strong in Sint Maarten.

Oh man, more sand. Very good capture of this dreadfull place.
Really shows all the misery you will suffer when being there.
The hot sun, the sand in your shoes, the salty water. Ssshhheeeesh!
You should let me go in your place. I'm used to that misery :-).
