My sister is the older sibling in the family and sometimes she would do my toenails for me :) I stink at doing my nails. Very nice shot of this moment between sisters, I like the black and white, it makes the moment timeless. Good detail and focus, and considering that strange lighting situation (that lamp from above and behind the subjects) you handled the exposure well. I am thinking maybe the woman at the left is a little too bright at the top and her pant leg is getting so dark that it is becoming fully black at the bottom. Perhaps using the magic wand tool in Photoshop (if that's the editing program you use) to select the pant leg and not make it as dark, that might help. Otherwise great point of view from the side and slightly below to get their profiles, drawing a balance between the two of them. Good vertical framing. Perhaps you could have cloned out or cropped out the lamp at the top edge as it is a little distracting. But really good shot, I also like the little reflections of tones on the chair and table legs. Very intimate photograph - love the double portrait which captures complicity between the two sisters. Love your choice of b/w, a gem of a photograph
