[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
A grey day on the beach with not a lot going on I was experimenting with my camera. I quite like this shot, wasn't sure whether colour or B&W was best but I think this is quite effective.

Hi Jean,
Is there's a little bit of noise in the sky or is it caused by the resizing?? Anyway, I really do love this one!
The composition is really very good and I love the B/W here. It goes real well with this image.

Cheers,
Anneke

Hello Jean,
I find this interesting too! Without the distraction of colour, the eyes follow the immediate lead-in and then scrutinise the rest of the shot taking in all the details of shape and texture. I agree with Anneke, there is some noise bit it not a problem.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

B&W appears to be the right way to go on this one. The contrasts are great and the textures - they're everywhere and all interesting. The age of the wood is emphasised by the B&W. The composition is really nice, I like the way the old wood vanishes into the water.

Very nice compo and sharpness. B&W is the best fit here.

Hi Jean,
B&W is the best choise; I think that there was just too little light to make a sharp picture, sothat the texture seems grainy, or maybe you tried sharpening when it was not necessary - I don;t really know. I tried a WS and turned this picture into a negative - never worked for me, but this one is a good candidate.
The compisition works well and then you need it that there is not much going on, that will only distract!

I see my limit for WS is reached, so that will be later on today then.

B&W is quite effective. The photo looks quite grainy though -- not a bad effect in this case. TFS. K2
