Hi Dudes,

Todays picture is a comment on how life has changed and we are all rushing hither and thither. I took this on my walk along the canal (see yesterdays pic "old and new") I likeed the idea of getting a car going across with motion blur, unfortunatly when a car did come it was not high enough to stand out above the wall so I waited and waited for a truck, van or bus eventually a bus came along (followed almost immedetly by another I might add) my shutter was set to two second delay to avoid shake, which is why I almost missed it.

It is a shame this was the only picture I got of that bridge with no ducks or people on it to add foreground intrest and comparison to the speed they move.

Have a good day and slow down

Tom

Hiya Tom

Another cool capture here, great idea for this shot. I think after your post yesterday it might have been nice to reverse this image, showing the fast pace on top and this side in colour and the water and through the bridge like the old days in sepia and slower.. Oh lord you got my imagination going now lol.

Good work my friend

TFS regards Helen

Hi Tom,
Great idea for a shot, well executed. Reminds me of my days living on a boat and how fast everything seemed after a few weeks away on it!
Cheers, John.

It is most definitely an incongruity. A relaxing scene of water, bridge, and nature - with a hurtling bus. I think you've delivered this one well, it works nicely and is quite thought-provoking.

Good one Tom, I like the way you've captured the contrast between the canal way of life and the modern. As Helen says in her workshop (which I quite like as well) it would have ben nice to be able to actually see that it was a bus rather than to need it explaining in the note. However, great idea and a thought provoking shot. Cheers, Dad

Hi Tom
Lovely picture, really good idea and well presented
Regards Pez

Hello Tom! Excellent POV. Amazing reflection. Very dynamic scene. Great effect. Very original composition. Nice take. Well done!

Hi Tom,
i like the idea behind this.
I know what you mean by the delay (to avoid camera shake).
If you can afford it, a great way to overcome this limitation is to get a cable shutter release.
I have one .. and now I wonder how I survived without it.. :-))

Best regards, Daniel

A good effect achieved here Tom and the image suits your notes. Lovely colour and detail in the bridge and river and well composed,
David
