Autumn light in a northern exposure yields very nice colors and dramatic contrasts. Just too bad it all goes away so quickly. Miss one weekend, and all the leaves are gone (in my neck of the woods...)
I can just imagine what this must look like in a large size (like a 30"x40" enlargement).

Bonjour Annie,
formidable ce point de vue, avec cette grande courbe dans l'ombre et les deux pointes dans un éclat de soleil rasant et qui fait flamboyer la forêt aux couleurs de l'automne. La question que je me pose, est-ce que la ville dans la vallée, va être arrosée par cette lumière. Bravo à la photographe et à la grimpeuse, car il faut arriver là où tu te trouvais.

Hi Annie,

I do like the point of view, through the trees looking at the bay. Very difficult to get a good contrast in the distance. You really need your brain to make up a village of the white pots around the bay, but I guess it's the best one gets with 800 pixels.
But I surely like the compo and point of view given here!

Une belle composition et un superbe point de vue . Le soleil met bien en valeur le relif des montagnes . J'ai encore frais dans ma mémoire le souvenir de mon passage dans ce beau village . Nous nous étions arrêter pour la nuit . Quelle belle surprise ce fut de découvrir ce village le lendemain matin . Nous l'avions tellement trouvé beau que nous y sommes arrêter de nouveau sur le chemin du retour . Non mais c'tu assez beau la Gaspésie !

It is a golden rule to take landscape photos at the beginning and ending of the day
Then we have interesting light and shadows. The second rule is the rule of thirds
But just following the rules is not enough. We have to look what fits in the rules.
And you have the ability to do that. Proving this time after time with lovely photos and this one is no exception. .
