| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
I played around with various frames to suit this rose from my spring garden.
I tried so many variations :-) that I doubt if I can remember all I did to the image but his is basically what was involved in the PP:
I opened up the photo and duplicated the background layer.
Then extracted the rose image from the duplicate layer.
Went back to the original photo and selected a small portion of the foliage and opened it as a new image. Then added a gaussian blur to it and posted it back to the rose image in a layer just underneath the extracted rose layer stretching the image to fit the canvass and even blurring it a bit more in the process.
I then flattened the image and added a white border.
I selected the white border and filled it with a bronze metal gradient and added an inner bevel to it.
Flattened the image again
I then added a second border similar to the first one and added an enamel effect to it.
I used my trusted old Paint Shop Pro version 8 to achieve all this :-) hope you like it! |

Hello Wia, I really like the shot of the rose, it seems 3-D on my screen.I am sorry to say but I do not think that the frame is necessary, especially after all your hard work, but that is just my humble opinion.
The colour and sharpness is excellent.
Tfs, regards Jean.
beautiful pic with a very good work out
Hi Wia,
The rose seems to be popping out of that lovely "copper" frame!
Beautiful soft pink and very natural texture. Perfect sharpness and detail.
TFS
Regards
Lurdes
