Something different but to keep us in the mood of the Holiday Season.

Before I had to go and shovel outside ( see the image posted yesterday (^_^) here . , I took a few photos indoor. Different composition to reveal the decor of the house. Here I just used the door and Santa decorating the door knob to add some depth to the scene.

Well I really had to go after that. And in fact it did brought me a song in my mind . I thought of this one while I was working out outside! Note. We do have a contractor coming to clean the driveway, but he does not do the sidewalks and alleyway to our backyard. We have to visit often the bird feeders..... But , Martine did not hold me , I did go (^_^).

Speaking of bird catching, I do not have the talent , patience and gear to capture them as my colleagues ( Mario alias EOSF1 or Serge Saint-Louis yamataraja , my neighbors (^_^).

Technically : Used my tripod again ,as I opted to capture the ambient light ,and various lights and shades provided by the halogen spotlights , instead of the flash. Image uncropped , but I did correct the perspective a bit. Selective color correction ( less yellow ).

I added another shot as a workshop. To see who were staring at me while I was shooting and waiting for me when I was shoveling. (^_^)

I will come back later this evening. Cheers!

Both your Points of view make for magnificent images, Robert!
Your place looks warm and welcoming and your captures have really made me wish I lived close enough to pop in for a drink (when I am not about to interrupt the lovebirds, that is)
Superb PoV, excellent colours and details
Thanks so much for sharing a bit of your Christmas with us

Mmmm.... lover's corner... and then you show us the dining room... my imagination is really running wild here!!

My compliments to Martine, Robert, for making it such a cosy, warm home ;o)). Nice interior shot, your choice to use ambient light was the right one. Besides, at 1/320 you didn't really need a tripod - or are you that shakey?? LOL.
Merry X-mas, and all the best for 2008 for you and Martine.

Hi Robert, I always love these indoor shots of yours you seem to manage the colours and depth well. Nicely composed and well presented. TFS,
