[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This was the same day that my camera broke, the day I took the train photo. I saw this storm front moving in as I was in town shooting at major a gas leak on campus (I am an editor /writer /photographer for my college newspaper), so I raced out of town as fast as I could to get to this farmstead.

The original image is of course in color, but I wanted to try something new. I followed the same theme with my website recently, seen here.

In PS CS, I adjusted saturations, levels, brightness and contrast, and then added a series of Sepia color filters, before finally reducing the overall saturation of the image to reach this effect.

I think it works, but let me know what you think. I am always open to constructive criticism.

Hi Brian. It works well I would say. But I think it doesn't work really on the whole pic. IMO the foreground takes too much place on the shot. The most intereting part is the house and the tree in the background. The foreground is disturbong me a bit. Too sharp maybe ?
See you.
Denis.

Very good job:) I like sepia colours and so dramatical pictures.Bravo:)

Very good photo.
I think you did a great job in post-process. It makes a very special place.
Good work!

Decided to check out your other pics after seeing your rural highway scene featured on TL. I really like the sepia effect you accomplished here Brian. The contrast added by the clouds sets it off nicely. Personally, I disagree with the first comment about foreground. Very cool pic!

God's best,

Tim
