[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Taken on the beach at Southwold in Suffolk, this is part of the new sea defences built over the last few years. I liked the angle of the groyne as it went into the sea.
converted to high contrast B&W using Redynamix.

Hi Leslie,
great use of the wide angle to create a beautiful depth, with the groyne leading the eye to discover the beauty of the compo. The high contrast b&w makes a huuuge impact makinf the whole scene very pleasant to look at, I like it.
Regards,

Ele

Hi Leslie,

I think your shot has a gerat potential, which you enhanced, but also spoiled a bit in some way: definitely you made it more dramatic even enhancing the details on the fence and the sky, but the sea waves are burned IMO. So, you can well manage it using a double layer, saving the details on the sea and keeping the contrast as you managed here on the rest of the shot.

I have never heard of Redynamix, but I can say that I'm very impressed with the outcome!! A gorgeous b&w!! Fantastic lighting and contrast. TFS

The wide angle and exaggerated perspective (demonstrated by the fence in particular) really draws the viewer into the frame of this shot. For this reason I love wide angle photographs. I particularly like the capture of the wave rushing in, and the black and white finish.

Hello,

I like the effect of this picture. Great sky and nice black and white !

Hello Leslie,
This is an excellent dynamic shot. Very well composed with the groyne leading the eye.I like the textures of sand, water and wood. Its dynamism comes from the line of the groyne and the slashes of cloude as well as the movement of water.Black & white was a good choice.

Bev

Hi Leslie
i like the dynamics in this shot very much. The water and the sky work very well with each other. Composition looks spot on and the high key contrasts have been rendered very well.
Well done, nice to meet you on TL.
Regards
Jim
