This is shot from the Kallada Boat race held at Kollam.

Kallada Boat Race (Kallada Jalotsavam) is one of the most famous boat races held in South Kerala, India. The boat race is an annual event in which almost all the famous snake boats (Chundanvallam) take part. The Jalamela is organised with a view to promoting tourism and also to encourage the spirit of water sports among the youth of Kerala , upholding the tradition of Gods own country. The Kallada Jalolsavam is conducted and celebrated with all Gaiety and Festive spirit at Muthiraparambu Karoothrakadavu course of the Kallada river in the Muneroethuruth Panchayath which is just less than half an hour drive away from Kollam City.

Hi Jean,
Very intriguing shot, looks like a great event to witness. You've frozen the action well, with only minimal signs of motion blur. The colours look vivid, and the details well focused against the background. The frozen water droplets in the air are a bonus too. Well captured.

it must be fun being in such events... you really captured the action spirit amazingly here, the repetition of men and their paddles, facial expressions, warm colors and lighting...the droplets spraying in the air..such a dynamic shot well managed and composed..
