Welcome to TL Sue, interesting shot... :) I like it! The green against the grey sky just create a strange looking mixed. Good POV, composition and framing. Thanks for sharing, keep posting and have fun. :)

Welcome to TL, it's a great image, the old house looks very lonely. Go the sheep.
Hello Sue welcome to Treklens...
Hey I love this old house...you have captured it well with the sheep and old logs in the foreground... Where abouts is this ?
I love old buildings and sheds and houses.. you will see some in my gallery.
Thanks for sharing.

Hello there Sue and welcome to TL. You've got quite and interesting subject here. I think you get a lot of interesting shots of this subject. I'm looking forward to it.
Nice first post! Very interesting subject. In workshop, I suggest a way to position yourself so the main subject in not that centered.
Hi Sue, great shot of the old house. The colours and details are great. Good to see you here too.
Fredd's comments are good. And in his WS he shows you the correct way to position the house. This is how we learn; I did.

I like the house representing chaos and field with sheeps representing peace and harmony...
welcome to TL Sue, nice plain colors

this is a really really great photo
i don't mind the central composition because there is not much to look around :-)
i also like the fact that there is only few colors
the photo is also sharp enough
PS: yes i forgot, WELCOME to Treklens, have fun

Hello Sue! Ta photo est particulièrement intérssante. Au milieu des des décombres, au milieu du vide, on aperçoit les moutons, un petit signe de vie, un petit signe d'espoir. Bravo pour ce contraste! Bravo pour la composition
Of the 2 versions I sure prefer this one. The light is more contrasting as for presenting the building there and not least I find the sheeps a very good detail in this compo. The low shooting position is good adding much to the desolated touch of the motif. Well done Sue
Beau cadrage, l'ambiance est formidablement bien rendue
Another wonderful of New Zealand, Hope I be there some time,
very nice, it contains huge stories.
IMHO, how about to move the point of interest a little bit to the left of photo.
Terrible, cette maison déchirée en pleine rase campagne …
Elle contraste sur ce paysage si doux … Une plaie à ciel ouverte …
Bravo et bienvenue sur TL!!!
Hi Sue, a beuatiful scene I see here, and with composition like this I would try to shoot IR, noting that you use Sony F-828, surely it will make a great IR photo

Just ran into this photo, and it is great. The old house in ruins, the green of the grass, with the inevitable sheep and logs in the front. The sky is delicate and adds much. Wonderful shot.
La composition très simple et plein centre donne un très bon impréssion. Bravo !

very nice photo!
The green contrasts very well with the sky and house. For me, I would have placed the house a little to the left, but that's just me :)
Well done & TFS :)

I like this scene very much. The composition is good, but it could be improved if you place your main subject off centre. You may find this link interesting to read.

Love this capture. I think the WS does add a more dynamic composition, but this is still a very well seen and captured piece of NZ.
