[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Did a fun shoot in the studio yesterday. I had Lea in for some portraits to do some fashion shots for her book. I knew we'd have some extra time on our hands so I went to the local flower shop before she came to pick up some yellow "Eastery" flowers.
After doing the shots for her book I tied about 25 of these yellow flowers (don't know the name) to her hair.
She was already wearing greenish makeup around her eye and I gave her a pair of super crazy fake eye lashes to put on.
This is one of the shots that came out of it.

It's lit with 3 lights and a silver refector. Main light directly above the camera and just high of her forhead. Main light was in a 70cm deep octa with reflector disc and diffusion cover to make it into sort of a beauty dish.
The 2 other lights where in medium softboxes on each side of her.
The silver reflector was below her chin at about chest level.

For pp I did some color correction to her skin and fixed any significant blemishes. I accentuated her makeup around the eyes, her lips and cheeks. I also cleaned her eyes and toned them a bit. Finally did a little dodge and burn to give her face a little more contour.

Shot with Canon 5D Mark II, ISO 50, 1/200s, f/6.3 at 85mm

wow, these eyes are real ?!
Great idea, great picture !
Very fresh, very appealing.
Have you tried a less centered version ?

Wow! Stunning! Amazing contrast between the brightness of the flowers, her white skin, the red lips, and green eyes! (love the eyelashes:)

Very sharp and well lit image Jens. The BG is flawless and helps the model stand out clearly! The catchlights bring life into her eyes very effectively.

Useful and informative notes thankyou.

Eye-catching photo!! I hope she uses it for her book! what a fun photo. Thanks for all of the useful notes.

Hello Jens

Wow and I say wow. I love the help that photoshop can produce. Even though I am not in your class of skill. I think the finished product is what matters the most to your clients. I am a strong believer in this kind of work due to the fact it brings out the artistic vision one may have. Excellent finished image. Thanks for showing us the possibilities of this awesome art.

Frankly, I think you've got quite an amazing and impressive portefolio Jens.

Hard at this point to give you any advices. I think you've got it all together, and it shows, in every one of your posting.

You've got my admiration, love your style.
