[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This photograph is the one having taken it from the observatory in the Naruto strait in Shikoku. The Naruto strait is the strait between the Awaji Island of Hyogo Prefecture and islands in Shikoku. Harimanada
is connected with the Kii Channel. There was a small island where the lighthouse existed in the right under when the strait was looked about from the observatory. And, a lot of fishing boats were operating in the strait. The rockfish, the spanish mackerel, and the flatfish, etc. can fish in the strait.
Here is famous as the site of incidence of the eddying current.
The maximum flow velocity becomes 20km/h from reaching of the difference of the opportunity between the Harimanada and the Kii Channel where the strait is placed and most reaching at the time of the flood tide as many as 1.5m by the sea level difference of the both waters. Therefore, the eddying current appears on the narrowest downstream side.
