| Présentation: | I live in upstate western NY and have always enjoyed photography although I admit to being an amateur who tries hard and I'm eager to learn any new techniques. I was introduced to digital photography several years ago when my sister gave me my first digital camera. I was hooked. I have since gotten three more with zoom feature. I have also gotten a macro conversion lens for my most recent Canon, the SX1 IS. My favorite things to photograph are things in nature (flowers, bugs, you name it), architecture, landscapes, my pets and anything that grabs my attention that I think would make a good shot. I hope to be a regular contributor. My intentions are good, but sometimes life tends to get in the way of my intentions. But I do visit as often as I can to view the great work on here and get ideas from all of you. I appreciate and welcome any feedback and tips on my photographs. I'm learning so much from everyone and the photographs you contribute also, especially when you describe how you've changed the photo. I find all feedback useful (good or bad) and mark it as such because I use it as a learning experience. I try to respond to everyone who leaves comments or critiques, but if I don't get back to you, please know that I truly appreciate the time you take to do so.
