This photo is a sequel to one of my previous posts. Again a “wounded” tree, waiting for being cut down…
I took this picture during a one-week photography workshop organised by the International Summer Academy in Libramont/Belgium (www.akdt.be), where you can choose between all kinds of highly interesting workshops (painting, creative writing, classical music, jazz, video, dance, theatre etc.). The theme of the photography workshop was “portraits in black and white” (for analogue cameras only).
My model was a fellow photographer. Like me, she is fond of trees. So, I hardly had to explain her which pose to take. She immediately understood what I wanted (express the mood of the tree) and, in my opinion, did the job very well ;o).

Cette photo fait écho à une de mes photos précédentes. A nouveau un arbre “blessé”, qui attend d’être abattu…
J’ai pris cette photo lors d’un stage à l’Académie Internationale d’Eté à Libramont/Belgique (www.akdt.be), qui offre le choix entre une multitude de stages les uns plus intéressants que les autres (peinture, écriture créative, musique classique, jazz, vidéo, danse, théâtre, etc.). Le thème du stage de photographie était “le portrait en noir et blanc” (pour appareils argentiques uniquement).
Mon modèle était une autre participante du stage. Comme moi, elle adore les arbres. Dès lors, elle n’avait guère besoin d’indications pour la pose. Elle comprenait aussitôt ce que je souhaitais (exprimer l’état d’âme de l’arbre) et, à mon avis, s’en est acquittée avec brio ;o).

Deze foto is het vervolg op een van mijn vorige foto’s. Opnieuw een “gekwetste” boom, wachtend op de bijl…
Ik nam deze foto tijdens een stage op de Internationale Zomeracademie in Libramont/België (www.akdt.be), waar je de keuze hebt uit een rijk aanbod van uitermate boeiende stages (schilderen, creatief schrijven, klassieke muziek, jazz, video, dans, theater enzovoort). Het thema van de fotografiestage was “portret in zwartwit” (enkel voor analoge toestellen).
Mijn gelegenheidsmodel was een medestagiaire. Net als ik houdt ze van bomen. Ik hoefde haar dan ook amper richtlijnen te geven voor de pose. Ze begreep onmiddellijk wat ik wenste (de gemoedstoestand van de boom weergeven) en slaagde daar volgens mij uitstekend in ;o).
